Having recently seen in a leading County paper that change is contemplated in the system of Colonial Audit, I have taken the liberty to submit some notes on this subject in the hope that they may prove of use in considering this question.
The proposal of the Colonial Office is that the Audit of Colonial Accounts should be transferred to an Officer who would be responsible. The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies
